These jars do NOT contain Springtails but are made to be ready to have your own springtails cultured inside them

These jars are ready to use, with a layer of calcium bentonite along the bottom of the jar. Simply pour springtails of your choice into the jars, and keep the jar in a dark warm location to allow your springtails to breed.

Calcium Bentonite Clay is the gold standard for breeding springtails. It keeps the springtail population on the surface for easy harvesting, and is soft enough to allow for the springtails to excavate and create ditches and tunnels for reproduction.
